New Full Stack Developer from the US Joins the PlagScan Team

We are welcoming our new full stack developer Ian Fairclough. This new addition fits perfectly in our team. For him, the company’s mission was one of the reasons why he decided to apply for PlagScan.

To him, “The company’s ultimate goal is to make the educational process better, so I find this a good mission.”

He was pleased to be interviewed by one of the founders of the company because he found the history of the company appealing. For Ian, working in a smaller company with less politics and more responsibilities will give him the chance to improve his IT skills as he is keen to learn in a non-academic context.

The American born native of New Jersey spent the last three years studying in the UK at the University of Leicester in informatics until January 2019. In the meantime, he worked at a startup for organising FIFA video game tournaments.

Eager to discover new cultures, he likes to cycle for example from Paris to Amsterdam like he did last summer. He is also very fond of sports and history books. Most of all, he wants to integrate in Germany by learning its language and culture.

After a couple of weeks at PlagScan, he is particularly impressed by how smoothly the work is running which has set the start of his learning journey at PlagScan.
