New Trilingual Intern Joins PlagScan’s Sales Team

Even though PlagScan’s new sales intern Diana Horvath Vargas grew up in a small village outside of Cologne, her sense of internationality is quite vast.

Diana is half Venezuelan, half German. She currently studies international business and management studies at the Fontys Venlo University in the Netherlands. She chose to intern at PlagScan because she said she enjoyed the company culture and diversity in the office.

“I wanted to get to know the environment and the processes in a startup because I think startups are a lot more fun and active than huge companies,” she said. “Being in a startup means to get input from all different departments and sides.”

Diana added she chose a software company to challenge herself.

“I might be a fast learner, however, I don’t have that much knowledge about software and IT,” she said. “I would like to learn as many new things as possible.”

Even in her spare time, Diana enjoys learning. She said learning from her friends and other people is one of her purposes in life. Aside from being talkative, Diana also said she likes to play all different kinds of sports – volleyball, handball, badminton, dancing, snowboarding and much more.

“Sports give me a sense of freedom,” Diana said.

As a Spanish-speaker, Diana will be a great asset in helping our sales manager Davide to approach and analyze the South American market and develop new business opportunities.

“I hope to improve my sales skills by learning a lot from Davide, who is very experienced in sales,” she said. “I look forward to learning how business really works and how to apply my knowledge to it.”
