New Self Registration Feature Simplifies Account Administration

Administration work is usually tedious and time-consuming – yet, it is the kind of work that needs to be done. At PlagScan, we’re eager to simplify the administration of your account as much as possible and keep your work to a minimum. We recently developed a new feature that will help you to set up your PlagScan account in no time. Instead of spending time on adding users to your account, you can simply invite them to self-register.

After logging into your PlagScan account, click on the “Users” panel on the left of your interface. There, you will find the button “Invite users to create an account.” If you click it, a pop-up window with four tabs will appear.

To add a user, you can click on “add user” and create an account for them. Or you can import their data from a file. However, to make it even easier for the admin to add users, you can click on “invite users to create an account,” which sends an invite link to the invited email addresses of the people you would like to invite. This way requires the least amount of work for the admin.

In this window, you can see the different ways to invite new users. Here, you can create a group-specific link that you can send out yourself and even hang up somewhere – for example on a bulletin board at your faculty lounge –  for people to self-register. Optionally, you can secure the registration link with a protection key.

You can also send the registration link as an email. On the second tab, you can upload a spreadsheet file with the email addresses of the people you want to invite. If you want to select a group or enter the email addresses manually, you can do so as well.

In the overview, you can check the status of your invites. You will be able to see who accepted your invite or which ones are still pending. When your invited users open your invitation, they will be directed to the following interface and can follow the instructions to sign up to your organization’s PlagScan account.

We hope you find this new way of adding users to your account useful. Please feel free to contact us at info@plagscan.com for further questions, concerns or comments. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
